Tig Notaro is one of the most famous comedians in the US and a real favourite around the world. In 2012, at Largot Theater in Los Angeles, Tig performed the entire shows around the news that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer only a few days before the show. She blended her humour with a matter of fact approach that left her fans both in tears and laughter – one of her most famous fans at the show was Louis CK. The show is called Live and has now sold over 100,000 units which is rare for comedy albums these days. After this, Tig was profiled by The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, Entertainment Weekly, Vanity Fair, GQ Magazine, Rolling Stone and Time Magazine amongst many others.
The album was nominated for a Grammy and was named the number one comedy album by Entertainment Weekly and New York Magazine. She remains a favourite on This American Life and Conan. Tig tours nationally and internationally a the most reputable comedy and music festivals and her Amazon series One Mississippi was recently released after a pilot in 2015.
