Task
To manage media relations and press coverage for Miriam Margolyes’ Edinburgh Fringe show, ensuring maximum exposure across national, regional, and digital media, as well as broadcast outlets, while securing high-quality reviews and feature placements.

What We Did
We coordinated early preview coverage with key entertainment publications, distributing press materials and arranging interviews with print, online, and radio outlets. During the Fringe, we facilitated live interviews, podcast appearances, and TV coverage, providing journalists with flexible access to the show and talent. We also curated review opportunities with leading critics to secure star ratings and feature highlights, while managing ongoing media updates to maintain momentum throughout the festival.

Results
The campaign delivered extensive media exposure across multiple channels. Features and coverage appeared in outlets including The Guardian, The Times, The National, The Scotsman, Sunday Post, Diva Magazine, Prospect, and Edinburgh Evening News. TV and radio interviews were secured with BBC Scotland, STV, Gaydio, Forth FM, and the BBC Afternoon Show, while podcasts included A Gay Old Time. Early previews appeared in Chortle, Beyond the Joke, Funny Women, Entertainment Now, and Must See Theatre. The show received overwhelmingly positive critical acclaim, earning multiple five-star reviews from Edinburgh Festivals Magazine, ThreeWeeks, On The Mic, Edinburgh Reviews, The Herald, One4Review, and Theatre Weekly, alongside four-star reviews from The National, Entertainment Now, Broadway World, and The Telegraph. Prominent journalists and critics attended the show across multiple dates, ensuring continued visibility and media momentum throughout the festival. Overall, the campaign successfully maximised Miriam Margolyes’ presence at the Edinburgh Fringe, securing high-profile features, strong critical acclaim, and widespread coverage across national, regional, and digital media outlets.
