Charlie Brooks

Actor Charlie Brooks is a regular fixture on TV after rising to prominence playing Janine Butcher in EastEnders from 1999 at the age of just 18, she continued to play the role on and off until 2014. Her portrayal garnered her two nominations for National Television Awards for Most Popular Newcomer and Most Popular Actress. She has also won numerous other awards including ‘Inside Soap Awards’ for Best Bitch, TV Quick & Soap Awards for ‘Best Soap Actress’, TV Times for ‘Most Popular Bitch’ and ‘Digital Spy Soap Awards for ‘Best Soap Bitch’. Other TV acting work includes ‘Robin Hood’, ‘Love Soup’, ‘Angel of Death’, ‘Bleak House’, ‘Suspects’ and ‘Wired’. Most recently she was seen as Tina in Jimmy McGovern’s ‘Moving On’ for BBC 1 and in a short film ‘Fog’ under the Oscar award-winning team Film London and heard on Radio 4 as Vida in ‘Tightrope’.
